An amazing hospital in the Lake Tahoe area is in search of a new Risk and Patient Safety Manager.

The Risk and Patient Safety Manager will join an organization with a rich culture and reputation in the community and state.
The Risk and Patient Safety Manager will report directly to the Hospital Director of Quality. Supported by all department directors and a committee of passionate compliance and risk focused nurses, this person will lead an outstanding and busy hospital in compliance and risk initiatives. The Risk and Patient Safety Manager will work with the hospital staff, educators, and other leaders to develop new patient care initiatives and compliance efforts as they are needed.
The Risk and Patient Safety Manager will be in charge of developing and implementing departmental goals and standards that align with the clinical objectives, goals and values of the hospital, as well as The Joint Commission. The Manager will oversee the hospital's insurance programs, including coordinating claims while serving as legal counsel, and acting as mediator in cases with providers, family members, staff, and patients. The Risk and Patient Safety Manager will provide education to all staff on compliance and risk topics as well. Most importantly, the Risk and Patient Safety Manager will be responsible for creating an environment that promotes safe, outstanding care, and encouraging growth throughout the hospital.
