Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Prepares and compiles records in the outpatient physical therapy department. Initiates directions from physician and physical therapy staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. -Job Duties/Responsibilities: - -

• Responsible for obtaining all pertinent information including demographic and insurance information. & creating new patient accounts.
• Responsible for sending -all referrals to the insurance verifier and calling all patients in a timely manner.
• Able to assist the insurance verifier if needed, obtaining insurance authorizations within -specified time limits.

  High school graduate or equivalent.
