These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and
electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital
and space exploration systems. You'll conceptualize and design new
products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog
and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated
systems.You will have the opportunity to perform design,
development, documentation, integration, test and debug of circuit
card hardware architecture for DoD systems. Hardware designs will
be integrated into small form factor security devices and network
systems. Responsibilities include Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)
design, FPGA design, design documentation generation, hardware
integration and test. You will be part of a high performing
development team currently developing a new product for SNC.The
Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides
affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated
ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST

Hardware Design and IntegrationFPGA DesignARM 7 or 8 based
microcontroller design8 bit and 16 bit microcontroller design such
as Microchip, Microblaze, PicoBlaze, or MSP430Initiate problem
solving for new product designs as well as existing productsPlan
and execute technical activities in accordance with SNC policies,
procedures, and specific Customer requirementsOriginate
specifications, control documents, verification and validation
plans, procedures, and reports, in support of design and
developmentExecute engineering design and development activities
consistent with Customer quality, cost and schedule
requirementsAssemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic
components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals
and knowledge of electronicsResponsible for the design and
development of units from concept through
qualificationMust-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical
Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more
years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for
relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles
and practicesUnderstanding of Computer Aided Engineering
toolsExperience working in multi-disciplinary design & development
teamsAn active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is
required---Preferred:PCB layout and fabrication documentation and
Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) designPower Sequencing & Switching
power supply designExperience with Microcontroller design (MSP430)
and Multiprocessor System on Chip design (MPSoC)Schematic capture
